Each club fields a team of three players (Positions 1, 2, 3) who compete within their position in GROSS competition.  Players are assigned to positions according to their handicap.  Points are awarded within each position as follows: the low gross player receives 21 points, the second place player receives 20 points and so forth.  In the event of ties, points are totaled and divided equally, which means players could receive half points. If a club does not have three players, they will get zero points in any empty positions. If a club only has 2 players, they will play in the #1 and #2 positions, leaving the #3 position without a player. If a player is disqualified for any reason, she receives zero points. If a players withdraws/does not finish, she will receive zero points.

There are six Twin City League dates each summer (i.e., each club hosts once every four years).    All events are conducted on Friday mornings with either 8:30 am or 9:00 am shotguns. Every event is followed by a buffet lunch, prizes and announcements.  All players will be billed for food, whether they stay for lunch or not. To go containers are usually available if necessary but players are strongly encouraged to stay and socialize if possible. FYI: Food charges should be approximately $35/player including tax and gratuity (which covers both breakfast and lunch).

Players do not pay green fees to compete in the weekly Twin City League events. Rather, each member club pays $150.00 dues for the season. However, players are responsible for individual expenses over and above green fees (i.e., caddies, carts, food/beverage, etc.).

WOMEN'S TWIN CITY LEAGUE PRIZES

Overall Team Champion:

The team that accumulates the most points over the course of the year (after adding all 3 positions' gross points for every week) will be that year's Twin City League Champion. Note: Each team is allowed to throw out one week's score (to help accommodate teams with conflicts during the season like Member-Member or Guest Day events). The winning team receives a traveling trophy that is kept in their possession until the end of the following season of league play (when it is awarded to the next year's champion). The winning team is responsible for engraving their Club Name and Player Names on the trophy. The League will reimburse expenses.

Net Team Champion:

The team that accumulates the most points over the course of the year (after adding all 3 positions' net points for every week) will be that year's Twin City League Net Champion.
